Everest Base Camp Trekking | Mt Everest Base Camp in Nepal



Everest Base Camp Trekking can be taken from two sides- Everest Base Camp trekking from Nepal and Everest Base Camp Trekking from Tibet. Southern Base Camp of Everest exists in Nepal at 5,364 m elevation. Northern Base Camp lies in Tibet at 5,150 m elevation. EBC camp from Tibet is known as Everest Tour as you can reach there on four wheels. You can only try Everest trek if you are planning to reach Everest from Nepal.

Everest Base Camp trekking itinerary usually lasts for 13days.
Daily flight is available from Kathmandu to Lukla. It takes 30minutes of flight to reach Lukla. This is considered as one of the best air routes in the world where you will get views of Langtang, Gaurishankar, Buddha and other Mountains including bird’s eye views of eight thousanders like Lhotse, Nuptse and Cho Oyu.    
Trekking begins at Lukla. Everest Base Camp trekking route progresses along Dudhkoshi River. Crossing this milky river at few points over suspension bridges, you will walk past Ghat to Phakding. From Phakding, the trail traverses rhododendron forest which offers ample opportunities for Himalayan wildlife view. Exiting from the forest, you will arrive at Namche Bazaar which is the capital of Sherpa Land. This is an important trade centre in Khumbu region. You will visit the Tyangboche Monastery- the largest Monastery in Khumbu region. of Everest is also used by Everest climbers as a training ground where they follow the instructions of their leaders and learn basic training skills like using an axe, ladder, crampon and other climbing gears.
